Home.

Home home home.  I'm home.  I should be doing a lot of things.  But instead I am writing this and drinking tea and eating biscuits, pretending it's fall, dying my hair black from orange, and prepping to make Tartelette's peach macaroons (I'll post the link at the end).
Somehow, in the month that I was in California, I managed to take zero pictures except for my photo class. Quelle embarrassement. Oh well.  I have polaroids that I can scan in, and my work as well.  I'll post those... someday.  I've been so lazy with this blog! I feel bad.
Ellena comes home from Poland in a few days.  My sister gets home from Boston on the 22nd.  I miss everyone.

I would like this rain to stop NOW

I finally uploaded photos from my camera.
so the other day (friday?  thursday? saturday?  saturday.  it was saturday.) I used mother's day as a perfect excuse to go down to the market (pike place) and buy two butternut squashes (one of which is still sitting on my counter), a $1.09 ring, and some baby's breath and yellow carnation.  my friend ellena and I found ourselves lurking in sur le table and bought a silicone madeleine pan which the two of us have been yearning for for months and months, some gold foil baking cups, and a new piping tip.
we then met up with another friend, nathan, and found ourselves at whole foods where I bought about 278 grams of vanilla white chocolate for some butternut squash and white chocolate cupcakes that I would be later making for ma maman.  they were delicious by the way.
we arrived at my house and began making many many madeleines for ellena's mother and then played wii and they left.  audrey then came over and we made the cupcakes, sans frosting because I had forgotten the cream cheese.  then... we played more wii.
my life is so exciting.
I woke up this morning and took myspace pictures with my cat.  he was laying on my toes until about two seconds ago and it was cute.

oh shit oh shit oh shit.

It's Mother's Day.  (I hope you all wish yours a good one, by the way.)
Unfortunately, I can't.
I mean, I can.
She's not dead or anything.
But she is working literally all. day.
I've made her cupcakes and bought her flowers but she's not going to be home for dinner or anything.  Well, hardly.  It's the thought that counts, right?
Not that I know what to make anyways.  Goddamnit, picture post later.
I'm too lazy and have to do my english homework.
